There are many things a cat owner may not know how to handle concerning their BFF and issues that may arise. Aside of a professional cat groomer, there are things you may want to better understand and tackle before it gets out of hand or ends up being a costly expense. These Articles and Guides are designed to help you through any given situation before it becomes a disaster and how to handle it. More content will be added for grooming tips.

It is always good to have deshedding tools on hand especially if your feline tends to collect dead fur that cannot shed out completely. This ends up in mats, which do not come out on their own. Regular combing will help remove excess shedding before mats begin to form. We like to use a staggered tooth carding comb or a rake brush. You'll want something that can safely and comfortably pull out the dead fur in the undercoat without causing painful discomfort to your cat.
The best foundation for your cat's coat and skin quality begins at the skin level. If oils build up, then so will dirt and hair. Licking can lead to hairballs getting ingested, or worse. Licking also spreads bacteria and the best way to clean that up is to bathe your cat. Dandruff can be difficult to remove and may take a few baths. Your cat also gets a forced dryer treatment removing excess dead coat right after the bath. Overall, a good spa day will be the best foundation to your cat's beautiful fur coat, clean skin, and decreased shedding.
There is not one way to solve shedding but rather, incorporating maintenance in between grooms especially during shedding season (spring and fall). Your cat cannot change it, but you can help your kitty when it is happening. You'll be rewarded with less fur on your furniture and clothes and if your kitty has had mats before, you'll put an end to that discomfort.
There are so many products on the market that claim they are organic, healthy, all natural. Where is a person to go to find out what is quality and what is not? A veterinarian is not a nutritionist, but if your cat has been prescribed a food for a health issue, then do what your vet recommends. If your cat has no health issues, then I'd like to introduce you to Life's Abundance Premium Cat Food. It is not sold in stores, by design. Naturally made without chemical preservatives or fillers, each ingredient serves a nutritional purpose for optimal health and performance.
